SWITCHtoHEALTHY, a project in which the Center for Agro-food Economics and Development (CREDA) participates, seeks the collaboration of families with whom to carry out a nutritional intervention study with the aim of advancing its analysis and development.

The project, which aims to improve the eating behavior of the largest number of people possible, wants to start a study to implement a greater adherence to a sustainable and healthy eating pattern typical of the Mediterranean area.

To achieve this, SWITCHtoHEALTHY will include a combination of interactive digital tools, such as an APP for receiving personalized weekly food plans, educational teaching materials and healthy snacks.

The objective profile of the study are:

  • Families of any socioeconomic level with a child between I2 and 4th grade, and an adolescent between 5th grade of primary and 3rd year of ESO.
  • Have a mobile phone, tablet or computer with Internet access.
  • Not have allergies or intolerances to cereals, fruits and vegetables.

The study will have a total duration of one year, starting in November 2023 and each participating family will have to attend a total of 3 follow-up visits at a point close to months 1 (November), 9 (July) and 12 (October). Among the tests to be performed, anthropometric parameters such as weight and height will be measured, and specific questionnaires will be made to evaluate socioeconomic indicators of lifestyle and diet.
