At CREDA-UPC-IRTA, we want to contribute to improving the situation in the agro-food sector during the state of emergency caused by the COVID-19 crisis. To this end, we decided to launch a survey directed toward food producers, processors, and marketers to understand the impacts of the state of emergency on their activities and the ways in which they are adapting/responding. The survey collects information about the changes caused by the current situation, and the opinions of various agents regarding these changes.
The objective is to show the strategies being adopted to combat the situation, and to identify which work well and which do not. This way, we can improve the knowledge about the most appropriate ways to act. The broader goal is for this knowledge to contribute to the design and implementation of projects and plans that help to minimize the negative effects of such crises in the agro-food sector.
The survey should take only 5 minutes, and is based on the snowball effect – the idea is for each participant to share the survey as widely as possible in order to collect the maximum number of responses. Results are collected in completely anonymous and confidential fashion, and will be used only for academic (absolutely non-commercial) purposes. The results will be published and updated periodicially here on our website, as well as on our Twitter and LinkedIn accounts, offering clear and current information about the evolution of the agro-food sector.
The survey is available only in Spanish and Catalan.
