- From CREDA we continue with participatory workshops to identify the barriers and the impact of the application of novelties in the management of plastic waste in different value chains.
- The conference, framed within the ECOPAP project, will take place on May 17 in Vilafranca del Penedès.
During April, the Center for Research in Agrofood Economics and Development (CREDA) promoted two innovation and knowledge transfer workshops focused on plastic management in the agri-food sector in response to the implementation of the ECOPAP project, an initiative devised by the Departament d’Acció Climàtica, Agricultura i Agenda Rural (DACC).
After the good reception of both workshops, the CREDA team responsible for the project has decided to continue these days to discuss in more depth the challenges and barriers that may arise when applying the measures and innovations discussed in the first sessions. Thus, on Wednesday 17 May, the session ‘Innovations for the circular management of agri-food plastics: analyzing the challenges of their adoption’ will be held at the Hotel Air Penedès (Carrer Font de les Graus, 2, 08720, Vilafranca del Penedès, Barcelona).
The session, which will start at 12.30h, will focus on the wine, oil, fish and poultry sectors, with special emphasis on the application of innovations in end-use, commercial and industrial packaging. In addition, the conference will include the participation of companies and research centers specialized in the development of these innovations, but also with companies from the different sectors that operate in the Penedès and want to adopt and apply the innovations to their businesses.
