Sergio Alejandro Urioste Daza

PhD Candidate

Sergio holds an undergraduate degree in Environmental and Development Engineering from El Zamorano University in Honduras and a Master’s degree in Rural Development from Ghent University in Belgium. Throughout his career he has specialised in applied economics research in agriculture and sustainability. He has worked with various organisations in Latin America, Africa and Europe in research and project management in impact assessment, value chain analysis, agricultural markets and technology development. Sergio is currently working on his PhD thesis on impact assessment of technologies and actions to accelerate the process of development and registration of new varieties of agricultural species in the European Union.
