PhD Candidate
Sameh Missaoui is a PhD student and has a double thesis (co-tutelage) between the University of Sousse, Tunis and the UPC. She obtained the European Union scholarship “Bourse d’excellence – 2018” to prepare her TFG at CREDA that focused on the economics of fisheries and aquaculture. She obtained her engineering degree in Economics and Rural Development from the Higher School of Agriculture in Mograne, Tunisia, in July 2018.
In September 2020, she returned to CREDA to begin her thesis with Dr. Djamel Rahmani Meddour. Her thesis focuses on the analysis of the preferences of the population and fishermen of Bizerte (Northern Tunisia) and their willingness to pay to restore the Bizerte lagoon. CREDA represents the host centre and the scientific support of her thesis.
