The object of the study is to carry out a quantification of food waste in homes, including the corresponding environmental and economic impact assessment. The key waste generation processes will be identified, which are the most wasted foods, as well as the causes that determine the MA and the attitude of consumers towards the MA generated in their homes, through a questionnaire.
Data on MA are collected in two discard streams, one of unused food and the other of cooked food, differentiating those that are thrown away after a period of time in the refrigerator from those that are thrown directly from the plate.
