On January 1, fiscal measures to encourage the circular economy of Law 7/2022 on Waste and Contaminant Soils came into force, with the main objective of preventing and reducing waste generation. Within the framework of the approval of this law and the implementation of the ECOPAP project, from the Center for Research in Agri-Food Economy and Development (CREDA), in collaboration with the Department of Climate Action, Agriculture and Rural Agenda (DACC), we present the ‘Innovation and Knowledge Transfer Workshops: Plastics in the Agrifood Sector’, which will take place on April 12 and 13 at the Hotel Air Penedès (Carrer Font de les Graus, 2, 08720, Vilafranca del Penedès, Barcelona). Both workshops will start at 4pm.
The first session (Wednesday 12/04), will be focused on the wine and oil sectors, while the second (Thursday 13/04) will deal with the same topic in the fish and poultry sectors. In addition, representatives of the Waste Agency of Catalonia will be present, as well as professionals from our sectors of interest, with the aim of exposing and identifying innovations adaptable to the value chains of wine, oil, fish and poultry.
In these workshops, it is very important to have the participation of companies, research institutions or associations, among others, that are advancing in the subject of interest, such as in the realization of packaging, whether as final products or during processes.
