- The workshop is included in a series of conferences that will be held by a total of 15 professionals during the course of the diploma
The PhD in Agro-Food Economics and Postdoctoral Researcher at the Center for Agro-Food Economics and Development (CREDA), Ibtissem Taghouti, will participate next November in the new diploma of the group Asesórate Consultores Asociados.
On Monday, November 27, starting at 20h (GMT+1), Taghouti will hold an online conference entitled ‘Weaving the WEFE Nexus for Sustainable Development in a Changing Wrold: Innovative Practices and Policies for Addressing Global Challenges and Ensuring Resource Security‘. The exhibition will be part of the structure of the course that will combine synchronous and asynchronous conferences through which the different professionals will give their master talks.
The PhD’s presentation will address several topics: from the development of sustainable solutions that guarantee both current and future well-beign, to the strategic combination of public and private capital, through the choice of appropiate policies and practices that facilitate the achievment of sustainable development goals.
In addition, during her speech, Taghouti will share with the students CREDA’s participation in the European project SureNexus. This initiative, within the framework of European Union’s PRIMA program, aims to “promote a fair transition towards climate change adaptation and mitigation, as well as a better sustainable development“, assures.
For the researcher, the participation of professionals in the diploma “will favor the exchange of knowledge and thoughts and will encourage debate“. “Collaboration in this type of projects is very beneficial to both parties, while students learn, professionals expose our work to a new point of view“, says Taghouti.
The degree ‘Contemporary Challenges for Life Quality: Health and Education‘ will begin on October 30 and is certified by the Andrés Bello Catholic University of Venezuela (CIAP-UCAB). Maribel Dam, Communications’ Manager at Asesórate Consultores Asociados, explains how the group has designed this diploma with the aim of “providing students with knowledge and skills in order to improve life’s quality in the context of sustainable development and in the exercise of their fundamental rights“.
For three months, students will have at their disposal a series of lectures by 15 professionals including our colleague Ibtissem Taghouti, Dr. Alexis Sánchez and Dr. Arturo Peraza, who is also the president of the university. In addition, the program will held reflection and analysis sessions and an interactive workshop on emotional health.
