The wine sector faces fungal diseases of the vineyard, in particular mildew, using pesticides such as copper (of natural origin and that can be applied in different formulations). Even so, a high dose of copper can cause toxicity in the soil, which is why the European Commission is considering its reduction.
The Interreg Sudoe COPPEREPLACE project aims to develop and implement new technologies, products and strategies to reduce copper application and remedy contaminated soils in the Sudoe region. The role of the CREDA is based on determining the opinions and perceptions of the Network of Project Agents, focusing on two specific aspects: technology and policy; through the implementation of qualitative techniques.
