The main objective of this study is to design a reform proposal for the Code of Good Commercial Practices (CPBC) of the Catalan Food Chain. This proposal will contribute to adapting the operation of the CPBC to Directive (EU) 2019/633 on unfair commercial practices in relations between companies in the agricultural and food supply chain. Specifically, the context established by the directive and its national transposition will be used, in order to extend the scope of the CPBC and improve its effectiveness when promoting fair commercial practices along the food chain.
