Project that was born with the aim of studying how to prevent and reduce food waste in the links of production and wholesale and retail distribution of the food chain. In addition, their study serves to provide innovative and sustainable tools to achieve the reduction of surpluses and the use of food, with a positive social and environmental impact. This project is based on the diagnosis, characterization and quantification of food waste, and is in charge of the School of Agri-food Engineering and Biosystems of Barcelona (EEABB) through the CREDA.
