The Economic Reactivation and Social Protection Plan of the Generalitat de Catalunya (2021) sets out the country’s strategy for the coming years to provide an effective and cross-cutting response to the crisis arisen from Covid-19 in Catalonia. Digitalisation is identified as one of the main axes of the Plan. The digitalisation of the business fabric is part of the emblematic projects for this recovery and socio-economic transformation. However, although the use of technology at the enterprise level is a reality today, the level of digital maturity and technological implementation is yet unknown and, it is also expected to be incipient for some strata of the value chain. In this sense, this study aims to diagnose the needs of people and businesses for embracing digitalization, and the definition of local actions. These goals are targeted on the agro-food value chain – from the producers up to the restaurants sector- in the municipalities of Castelldefels, Gavà and Begues.
